Effectiveness of Red Chilli Auction Markets in the Production Center of Yogyakarta, Indonesia

This study aims to describe the auction market mechanism for red chili in Indonesia’s production hub of Yogyakarta and assess its efficacy. study’s location was determined Kulonprogo Regency, a chili-producing Yogyakarta, Indonesia. There were seven markets which three selected operating at time located Panjatan District. conducted 2021, with sample 50 farmers, who active participants markets. In addition producers, administrators interviewed this study. The data analyzed descriptively using images tables. began farmers delivering chilies, followed by gross weighing, sorting grading, net process, announcement winners, packaging, transportation, payment, distribution sales results. effectiveness center rated as high indicators: output, flexibility, presence or absence tension
